Great Plains Feeders is a U.S.-based producer of live and frozen feeder rodents, built from the ground up with one principle in mind:
Animals first, feeders second.
We operate a high-biosecurity breeding facility in the heart of the Midwest, supplying consistent, healthy feeder rodents to wholesalers, retailers, breeders, and institutions nationwide. Every animal we produce is USA-born and USA-raised — we do not import, and we do not sell out.
We are proud to work with established wholesalers, pet retailers, breeders, zoos, 501c3 rescues, and institutional buyers.
Quality & Biosecurity
Our facility is designed to exceed standard industry practices for cleanliness, airflow, and animal health. Air quality is actively managed to control ammonia levels to the point that humans can safely enter and work without respiratory stress — a benchmark that directly reflects animal welfare.
Our colonies are:
- Free of worms, protozoa, lice, and mites
- Raised under strict pest management and sanitation protocols
- Monitored continuously for health, growth, and consistency
We prioritize humane handling, low-stress environments, and line integrity to produce reliable feeders with predictable sizing and quality.
Production & Transparency
We produce albino, black, and colored lines and maintain clean genetic separation for performance and consistency. All frozen product is available as:
- Vacuum sealed or custom bagged for wholesale or retail needs
- Clearly labeled and traceable
- Never older than one year — verified through QR code tracking, so customers can see exactly what they’re buying
Distribution
- Live rodents: Weekly delivery routes from the Midwest to the East Coast
- Frozen rodents: Available for shipment anywhere in the continental United States
